Their sesame balls were the most amazing things. Service was prompt and friendly.
Best sushi in town
Really good sushi! It's easy to spend too much, cause you just want to keep eating!
Food 10/10Customer service 11/10Atmosphere 7/10 (it's debatable of course)Beautiful staff, my only want was that there was more sushi in the belt. However their reasons for not doing so was absolutely fair. Definitely recommend this place for all da yums!
Reasonable prices and fast food but there can be a long wait during dinner hours.
Up to 6 months ago I would have 5 stars. On 6/21 my experience was very different. When I special ordered their chicken karaage (Jpn style fried chicken) they pulled a basket off conveyor that had been circulating more than 10 minutes and brought it to me. I watched the pick up and when the girl brought it I asked her if it was ok? She said "Should be fine." I handed it back to her because it felt cold. She placed her hands around the basket again and said "Oh" and went to kitchen. My order was done in 10 mins. Would have been better to do that first. People 2 booths down asked for tempura. Different girl same strategy. This one picked the item that had been circling a long time, dropped it in front of the guest and moved away. As I was leaving i heard that person ask for hot dish as well. Oh well.
Good enough if you happen to be there and want sushi but it's not nearly as good as it used to be. Prices are up. Portion sizes are down. Avoid the chawanmushi if its later in the day. It gave both of us the runs. Genki used to make a better one but it is no longer on their menu.
The food here is decent.
Met my cousin for lunch, we had mini spicey tuna don, mini spicey salmon don, chopped salad each and crispy Gyoza, 'onolicious and more than enough kau kau!
Great sushi, lots of choices!
Very good service, staff is very accommodating, sushi is always fresh and good quality for a great price. I come here at least once a week.
I always like to go here as it's like comfort food for me. You can usually eat right away from the belt but most times I will wait to order it fresh. If you go during the dinner rush you might have to wait a while. Go a little later and you can just sit and eat. The sushi is pretty good and haven't had any issues with the freshness. It's fast food so don't expect the chef from Japan to be making your sushi. The service is good, they always get you water and tea with constant refills. They are always ready to take your order as well. The place is clean and the prices aren't too bad.
Service is great here. Go during the slow times and get a table quick, but come during peak dinner, especially on the weekends, and expect a wait. The prices have gone up a bit, but the quality is better than other belt style sushi places here in Hawaii.
Love the hamachi kama. Great service!
Yummy food but the prices have significantly gone up.
Nice and only little sushi place now that kozo kahala is closed.Okay pricing, conveyor belt style sushi restaurant.Staff is friendly but there is usually a long wait at lunch/dinner hours due to it being the only sushi place near kahala. I'd reccomend the spicy ahi, Whether its a poke bowl or a hand roll their spicy ahi always delivers
Delicious sushi on the go!
A few people recommended me to visit this shop during my visit to Hawaii so I decided to give it a shot. Safe to say I'm a bit disappointed. I took a few plates from the conveyor belt and the fish wasn't fresh. They also put so much rice in the nigiri and when you pick it up by chopsticks they all fell apart, meaning sloppy preparations.Don't come here expecting tasty sushi. You'll get decent food, but that's about it. Their poke plate is alright, but if you want poke there are better places to go to like Fresh Catch or Yama's. Don't come here for the poke. It's quite expensive as well, as I spent $20 for four plates. Safe to say I will never return.
I o my come for the Hello Kitty creme puffs.
All the seared sushi were excellent but otherwise everything else was not much different than other sushi chains
Both my girlfriend and I ate here for lunch, sharing multiple dishes and within hours were dealing with stomach pains similar to food poisoning. We aren't strangers to sushi or dishes similar at other establishments. I'd say it was lack of cleanliness in the kitchen causing cross contamination.
This is my favorite cheap sushi spot. I've been coming since they opened this location. The quality is really good for the price. The price has gone up significantly, but is still not too bad. Sometimes there's a long wait.
Not overpriced and decent taste. Either beat the rush that usually starts around 6pm or get used to sitting around for a bit for a counter or booth seat.
Was a bit more expensive than I expected but so tasty!
Good food. Kinda busy. Music gets loud. Reasonably priced.
quick and casual eat. The foods good, although a little expensive it was an excellent experience especially thanks to our server Ryan. He was friendly, always checking on us, and putting his cultural cleaning ethics to good use. Would come again!
Good sushi, good service. Good prices
Good food/fun for kids and adults. You can sit at the 'bar' and grab sushi as they pass by or order items from the menu.
Very good sushi. Many options.
Fantastic service and good variety, you can order from waiters instead of getting from the belt if you like. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Very good sushi, better than Genki sushi.
Quality has really gone down. 😢
Good food and service.
I used to prefer this place to Genki Sushi, but unfortunately due to increasing prices, the quality of the fish served here as decreased over the years.
The food is decent but very overpriced for conveyor belt sushi. I would recommend going to a proper sushi restaurant with the same price, possibly even cheaper.
The Store physically not what most are in size, so is the sensing of peace, quietness, and sinserity upon entering to be seated to order. Our order was exquisite and we were looking forward towards our next visit, Good Lord willing, of course...
Ono fresh Japanese food, tasty and nicely prepared/presented
Nice conveyor belt delivery system with personalised service accompanied, for any item not on coming up soon. 5* service and 4* food as some sushi items were adapted to local tastes and difficult to comprehend. Kahala Mall of course provides a nice ambience for dining.
Great customer service. Good quality food. And cheaper then Genki. I take the wife here weekly for her sushi addiction.
Went to see movie. Have lunch there. Food was good service was on point. Tea all ways fill .
Over priced for fast food sushi... Use to be affordable weekly ...now probably never again...if it reflects quality and price , I would have to disagree. We tasted what seem to be old sesame oil on the poke... Your prices are probably expensive to pay for your rent at Kahala Mall. 2 people for lunch at over 50 dollars that's not including tips.
I wish fewer people knew about this place frankly. But if you like sushi that is a notch better than what Kozo Sushi or Genki can offer, Kuru Kuru is the place to go. They have a great selection and the cuts of fish to rice is a lot better than those others I mentioned. Great go to place for sushi. Be prepared to wait if you’re going on the weekend. If you’re there for the food rather than the experience of the conveyor belt, you might want to consider calling in your order for pick up.
Just eating the mini poke don was very filling. Employees come around to see if you need anything and they are very nice!!!!
Delicious food! I love the spicy tuna! Friendly employees!
Their fried calamari is soft to chew unlike in different sushi places. It's okay for me
Soft shell 🦀 is really good everything is 👌
Its much better than sushi bay
Was disappointed a while back when they got rid of the full size don and only had the minis. Then a friend of mines ordered take-out a few days ago. That's when I realized the mini was a optimal size. Left me enough room to eat other things like or the sushi cake they got.
Tired this spot again after not being there for a few years and I was impressed. Food was hot and I like the fact that everything came in small portions so you are able to try multiple items. You are serviced by multiple waitstaff so you are never waiting and they are constantly checking up on you. My suggestion is to go early as the wait time builds as the evening goes on.
